| San Jose, California, April 12, 2010- David Chiou, CEO of Groundhog Technologies, led the panel discussion as the moderator for Wireless Strategies 2010 with Ericsson in Silicon Valley. |
| The successful event was organized by CCICE to welcome Ericsson to their new home in Silicon Valley. Ericsson's CTO and Senior VP Hakan Eriksson gave an outline of Ericsson's vision of the future evolution with regard to LTE and 4G, followed by panel discussions. Other panelists include Rick Meider, VP Technology Assessment, SK Telecom Americas, Inc. and David T. Witkowski, President, Wireless Communication Alliance. |
| The eco-system in the wireless sector continues to be challenged in all fronts, yet this challenge has leveraged an opportunity. With the convergence of technologies and the elimination of borders between the online and mobile world, the operational business environment is changing and new business models are being created. Companies are spending time identifying key technologies and seeking new technology investments while providing a new consumer experience. All of these efforts are defining the future wireless strategies opening opportunities for new startup companies to support the change. |
| David Chiou led enthusiastic discussions with the expert panelists with regard to the fast changing technology environment. Topics like how to secure future growth and market position, opportunities for startup and SME, company positioning to ride the change, knowledge sharing and networking were warmly greeted by the Silicon Valley community, with entrepreneurs and startups who are concerned with how they can leverage on the new technologies and new market opportunities. They were also eager to learn about LTE rollout schedule, how carriers can become revenue source and worldwide market issues like china's convergence policy. |
